Nanang Samodra baru saja disambangi Tim Klinik Nyeri Tulang Belakang Jakarta. Ia merupakan anggota DPR-RI dari Fraksi Partai Demokrat, yang sudah melakukan tindakan endoskopi PELD bersama Dr Mahdian Nur Nasution SpBS di Lamina Pain and Spine Center, RS Meilia Cibubur, Depok.

Setelah sukses dengan jaringan klinik rumah sunatan 38 cabang – seluruh Indonesia dan Mahdian klemnya, pria kelahiran Medan, 19 April 1976 ini kini fokus pada bidang kedokteran bedah saraf, serta intervensi nyeri dan tulang belakang. Selain tetap praktek di rumah sakit, dr. Mahdian Nur Nasution, SpBS, kini tengah mengembangkan kliniknya di Jakarta, dibantu rekan sejawat khusus menangani masalah nyeri dan tulang belakang. Menurutnya nyeri menjadi bagian yang menarik untuk didalami, berbagai metode intervensi telah ia kuasai mulai dari radio frekwensi hingga teknologi yang paling mutahir yakni endoskopi tulang belakang. Tak terhitung jumlah pasien nyeri yang ia tangani, dari metode yang paling sederhana hingga high tech seperti endoskopi. Meski diketahui hanya sedikit dokter di Indonesia yang mampu mengerjakan prosedur endoskopi tulang belakang ini, ia yakin kelak teknologi ini akan membawa perubahan besar dalam memperbaiki layanan kesehatan di Indonesia. Saat ini puluhan pasien Herniated Nucleus Pulposus HNP atau awam mengenalnya sebagai saraf terjepit sudah ia tangani dengan metode endoskopi. Pemulihan yang cepat dan hasil yang memuaskan bagi pasien serta minimnya komplikasi membuatnya bersemangat untuk terus membantu pasien. Meski sibuk, alumi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia ini tetap menyempatkan diri untuk berwisata bersama keluarga tercinta. Wisata dimaksud adalah wisata religi seperti umroh, bahkan dilakukannya hampir setiap tahun. Menurutnya dengan berwisata religi, selain mendapat penyegaran fisik, rohaninya juga menjadi lebih tenang.
